Candescent Canyon
Located in northern Arizona, this narrow, dark canyon known as
a slot canyon, cuts through 200 million year old rock on its journey to
the Colorado River. The colors form naturally and change in minutes from
sunlight reflecting dozens of times as it cascades to the bottom of this
sandstone crevasse. Sudden flash floods that reach depths of 50 feet or
more in minutes re-sculpture the walls and floor so that each exploration
can be a new experience. |
