| Golden Cathedral
Located in southern Utah, this unique alcove has undercut walls
hundreds of feet high. The pool of water is a reminder of the erosional
forces from gushing water falling through the two arches in the center of
the sandstone wall. At a certain sun angle, the whole alcove glows red from
the differential absorption of sunlight as it cascades into the canyon. |
