Spooky Canyon Less than two feet wide in places, this extremely narrow and deep crevasse glows from reflected sunlight. Imperfections in aeolian sand deposits 200 million years ago created the unusual texture in the sandstone. Located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, one gets an eerie feeling when hiking this slot canyon.
